Filter updates

March 26th:
New filter, "Top JS Kill:  Ad Vars & Functions", fires for small external
scripts only.


March 24th:
"Content-Location: Show real Onsite URL":
Loop-protection -- Don't $JUMP there, if we've already done so within the last
three connections.


March 22th:
Added "ed2k" to the URL Untangler's protocol exclusion list.

"Google: Remove Ad Links":  Rewritten to remove ad-blocks of unlimited size.


March 20th:
Ad-blocking core filters:  Various changes.


March 19th:
"<frameset>: Jump out of invisible Offsite Frames":
Does now what it is supposed to do:  Never match an onsite (actually,
"on-domain") frame.

Block: Make JS Cookies Session only:  Avoid JS errors.


March 18th:
"<img> Remove: Webbugs":  Doesn't touch anything but the source for tiny
positioning images, solving problems with menus that depend on them.


March 17th:
"<marquee>: Toggle Marquees":
There are huge Marquees out there!  Byte limit increased.


March 16th:
"Mark: Various: HTML" and "Bottom Mark: Start - Close open Tags":
Nesting level of <div> tags gets counted, missing </div> tags get inserted at
the bottom.  Before, an unclosed parent <div> - set to display:none or
visibility:hidden - could hide our code.

Routine changed regarding what is considered as an ad path and what not.


March 15th:

"Remove: Post-HTML Junk":  Kill Post-HTML framesets as well.


March 13th:
New option "Block forced Fullscreen Resizing" in the web filter config control.
Use the "a_js_meth" keyword to bypass.

Added "Alexa: Multi URL Untangler" site-specific filter.


March 12th:
Conversion of <blink> tags moved from "Tag Manager" to a separate filter
"<blink>: Convert to Bold".  This unprotects content within these tags, which
can be worth filtering.


March 11th:
Some filters adjusted to fail early for empty attribute values.


March 9th:
"AD JS Functions" filter modified and split into two.

Speed-Up of the "JS CSS Protect: Comments" web filters.

All Content-Type fixing header filters retain the original charset field now.


March 8th:
"<a>...: Remove sel. OnMouse Events" and
"<title>: Add Time - Fix Tag - Snip Excess":
Bugfix for character entity references ("&quot;" etc.).

Changes in header and web filters to insert Prox query strings before a
potential anchor.


March 7th:
Closed several gaps where https requests weren't redirected ("Use Half-SSL"
option).


March 6th:
IDN URL filters are now bypassed for Internet Explorer as well (besides the
latest Gecko browsers).


March 4th:
Mass changes of header filters to circumvent several restrictions while using
redirects ($RDIR, $JUMP, \k, and URL commands).  "Display Variables - Debug"
web filter changed accordingly.

New "IDN Exploit" header filters that make the Punycode address visible in the
address bar, if the browser doesn't support that on its own.


February 26th:
ComputerCops filter adjusted due to changed code.


Other updates
=============

March 24th:
IncludeExclude.ptxt:  Clean-up and additions.  Prefix hashing increased from 9
to 11 chars.


March 20th:
AdDimensions.ptxt:  Match dimensions within escaped quotes as well.


March 19th:
SpecialUAs.ptxt:  Some sites test for "Firefox" now instead of "Gecko".
-> Adjusted.

ProxFunctions.js:  Popup blocker no longer overwrites the page's own
"document.onmouseup", but appends to it.


March 18th:
ProxFunctions.js:  setInterval is excluded from interception in menu functions.

IncludeExclude.ptxt:  Kill the little GMail text-ad data files.

AdList.ptxt:  Ad path expression adjusted for strings like "mysite.com?adpath".


March 17th:
ProxFunctions.js:  The flyover function could result in layout distortions,
because its div block was written too early. -> Fixed.


March 15th:
FAQ updated (General -> Q5).


March 14th:
AdStrings.ptxt:  Bugfix for GoogleNews.

ProxFunctions.js:  Bugfixes/enhancements.


March 13th:
New document, "Prox_Menu.txt" - Work in Progress.

ProxFunctions.js:
- Bugfixes/enhancements.
- Changes/Additions to the Proxomitron Menu.
- window.resizeTo and window.moveTo are intercepted now and blocked, if the
  request was fullscreen.

AdHosts and AdDomains synchronized with Peter Lowe's Hosts file.

Several other Ad lists updated as well.


March 11th:
FAQ updated (Config related -> Q6/Q7).


March 8th:
Javascript Shell (Proxomitron menu) upgraded to version 1.1.


March 4th:
ClassID list updated (937 -> 975 entries).

Several documents updated to stay in sync with the modified or added filters.
